2 Hungry Bros – My Crew’s All Thinner

You won’t find yourself skipping tracks when listening to My Crew’s All Thinner, as each song has a distinctive sound with the flare and personality of each emcee. 8thW1’s “Walk Tall” is the perfect opening track with smooth, sharp verses that not only show 8thWl’s lyrical ability, but also has the precise balance of trumpets and other musical instruments. Mickey Factz’s “Move on Up” is another highlight as it exemplifies the effective use of instrumentation merged together with quick-witted rhymes, making it impossible to listen to only once. Homeboy Sandman’s “Parallel Perpendicular” has a melodic flow that not only transitions into an addictive song, but exposes the different approaches 2 Hungry Bros are willing to take.
The final song on My Crew’s All Thinner, Willie Colon’s salsa track “Te Conozco,” adds a cultural twist to the album. The song, which dates back to the early 70’s, not only fits perfectly as the last song of the album, but shows the album’s overall unique blend of past musical influences with contemporary flow that ultimately makes My Crew’s All Thinner worth a listen.
